Dynamaxs products are distinguished by their signature diesel-puller design on a Ford or Freightliner truck chassis an aerodynamic, distinctive style that places the engine in the front of the motorhome. Although officially classified as Class C, the Grand Sport Columbia and M2, and DynaQuest models could almost be classified as Class As. Each are based on a front-engine Freightliner truck cab and chassis, powered by a Caterpillar or Mercedes turbodiesel engine. Longest length is 45 ft., and maximum power is 455 hp. Among its smaller models is the Isata F-Series, built on the F-550 heavy-duty truck platform. Other models utilize Fords shorter-hood E-450 chassis with either gas or diesel power. Founded in 1996, Dynamax has grown and undergone four significant plant expansions over its 10-year history, most recently adding another 50,000 s.f. to its manufacturing facility in Elkhart, Indiana. One of the companys newest products is a toyhauler SURV model available on the Grand Sport Columbia 45-ft. floorplan.
