The roots of Monaco Coach Corporation run back to 1968 with the formation of Caribou Coach Corporation. The company soon evolved into Monaco Motorhomes, Inc., and out of that organization Monaco Coach Corporation was born in 1987. Over the years, Monaco became one of the top highline motorhome manufacturer in the world. Highlights of the evolution of the company included the redesign of its in-house Roadmaster chassis in 1989, the debut of the ultra-luxury Dynasty model in 1990, the acquisition of Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicles in early 1996, the launch of McKenzie in 1998 and the acquisition of Safari and Beaver motorcoaches in 2001. In 2005, Monaco paid a reported $60 million for R-Vision, a manufacturer of Class A, B & C motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth-wheels.

Headquartered in Coburg, Oregon, with additional production facilities in Elkhart and Wakarusa, Indiana, Monaco has been a public company since 1993, traded on the NY Stock Exchange under the symbol MNC. Monaco makes Class A motorhomes, while trailers and fifth-wheels are made by Holiday Rambler, McKenzie and R-Vision. The corporation’s Royale Coach division makes high-dollar custom coaches. Monaco is one of the fastest-growing manufacturers in today's recreational vehicle market and one of the largest manufacturer of Class A motorhomes. Factory tours are offered without reservations daily at the Oregon and Indiana production facilities.
